Toyota Sequoia 2024: News and Price. The full-size SUV segment will get several redesigned models originating from General Motors. The truck-based Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, as well as GMC Yukon, will arrive heavily based on the recently redesigned trucks. Toyota’s full-size Tundra pickup truck and derived Sequoia SUV will also be redesigned soon. While the prototype of the new generation Tundra was spotted on several occasions, the Sequoia prototype hasn’t been caught yet suggesting that Toyota Sequoia 2024 won’t be the all-new model.
The full-size Sequoia has the roots in the previous decade and the model is among the oldest designs on the road. Toyota expanded the model’s range with the new off-road-oriented TRD Pro trim and added a new 7-inch screen with Apple Car Playa and Android Auto for the 2023 model year. As the things now stand, the next 2024 Sequoia will stay in the current form while the next-generation version soul dapper for the 2024 model year. The redesigned Sequoia should again be derived from the Tundra pickup which will debut the new generation for the 2024 version.
Toyota Sequoia 2024 Design
The current Sequoia debuted in 2008 based on the Tundra pickup truck. Unlike the full-size, light-duty truck, the large SUV has a fully boxed frame mixed with the independent rear suspension with coil springs to provide better ride quality and interior capacity. The next Tundra pickup should arrive on the upgraded chassis with more high-tensile steel and lightweight materials in the mix and many sources suggest that a new truck will switch from the leaf springs to coil- or air-spring setup. The new generation Sequoia will use Tundra’s new underpinning and benefit from the structural upgrades.
The Toyota Sequoia 2024 should, however, stay the same visually and structurally. Almost every trim will come with some unique styling details. The base Sequoia will include LED headlights and come on the 18-inch wheels. The TRD Sport version will have cosmetic upgrades like the black insert grille, black roof rack and special badging. The off-road-ready TRD Pro will employ unique black grille, Rigid fog lights, unique wheels and emblems, skid plates and running boards as well as Fox shocks. The Premium and Limited versions will have chrome grille, body-color bumpers, etc.
Interior, equipment
The next Toyota Sequoia should remain the same behind the steering wheel as well. The model can seat up to eight and provides plenty of cargo space. There will be up to 100.1 cubic feet for the cargo or still impressive 67 cubes with the third row folded.
The model will also come well-equipped form the base version. The part of the standard equipment will be a sunroof, tri-zone automatic climate, eight speakers, a 7-inch center display, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, etc. The Safety Sense P suite will also be there from the beginning. The package includes systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

The base version will also offer some premium options like heated seats, navigation, leather upholstery, etc.
In the upper grades, buyers will also get a 14-speaker JBL sound system, ventilated seats, adaptive air suspension, upgraded upholstery and more.
Toyota Sequoia 2024 Powertrains
Like the current version, the Toyota Sequoia 2024 should again rely on the V-8 engine power. Every model should employ a 5.7-liter V-8 engine in the combination with the six-speed automatic transmission. The engine makes 381 hp and torque of 401 pound-feet. There will be the rear- and four-wheel drive options.
The TRD Sport version will add some mechanic upgrades including sport-tuned Bilstein dumpers and upgraded anti-roll bars. The TRD Pro will come with the off-road-tuned suspension with Fox shocks and upgraded underbody protection.
With the reliable V-8 engine under the hood and the same structure, the Sequoia will tow up to 7, 100 pounds. At the efficiency level, buyers should expect just 13 mpg city and 17 highways and that with the front-wheel drive.
The next generation Sequoia could adopt a 3.5-liter twin-turbo hybrid V-6 system from the Lexus LS and new 10-speed automatic transmission. The system could produce around 450 hp with the fuel economy around 30 mpg. This is the setup expected to appear in the new-gen Tundra according to multiple sources and consequently could be the solution for the redesign Sequoia.
